If you dont have a wetsuit, I highly recommend getting one.
I received an email from Xterra wetsuits a couple weeks ago about a sale. They are having a sale through the 29th half off some of their wetsuits. I just bought their $600 suit for $299.
Triplesports.com has a good guide about wetsuits.

On a side note,
Any thoughts about open swims at lake mary? As soon as I get the suit, I want to do some
Can you swim in Lake Mary at your leisure? A friend and I talked about going out there, but were scared of being run over by wind surfers and/or sail boats.
Good heads up about the discounts. However, to those of you thinking about purchasing a wetsuit, you might be wise to try them on in person. I tried on a bunch of suits of varying brands, which were all the equivalent size. Even so, they all fit differently and it took me a couple tries before I found one that worked for me. I'd look for one in person, and then maybe buy it online if it's a lot better deal.
That said, I got my 2xu really cheap in Tucson at Trisports. They have an endless pool with a mirror on the bottom, so you can check out the most important wetsuit feature - how good you look in it.

I ordered a wetsuit from Xterra during one of their half off sales and I'm really happy with it. The sizing info was way confusing, but they have a feature that helps you determine your size and I'm pretty sure they will allow you to exchange it if need be. I wasn't too worried about how good I'd look in it...I look great in everything. :)
We're hoping to find a wetsuit sponsor that would be willing to give us a good discount. Holler if you have any suggestions.

Someone should call to find out about swimming in Lake Mary. The number is (928) 526-0866. I called but they're closed until Monday and I'll be gone then.

Yes you can swim at Lake Mary any time. I've swam a few times there already this summer. Best time to go is weekdays because there are less boats! We like to park a little before the boat ramp so you don't have to pay and then I swim parallel to the shore to the dam it's about 1600m there and back.
