So who is sticking around Flagstaff for the summer? If you are sticking around Id recommend the Mountain Man at Lake Mary on July 19. Mountain Man's Website It is a fun race, Sprint, Olympic or Half distances are available.
Also Im looking for cycling buddies, though I don't know my summer schedule quite yet. I also am thinking of cycling from Flagstaff to Payson for fun. Ill definitely be hiking Humphreys, if any one is interested, closer to the end of july before I leave Flagstaff for Chicago. I don't know of any other plans, but I am open to suggestions. Maybe a Fossil Creek and West Fork trip.
Summer Time

I'll be in Flagstaff for the whole summer with the exception of some short trips.
-Doing a Grand Canyon rim to rim May 16th
-Going to Boise for the Boise 70.3 on June 13th
-Karl and I are doing a two-man team for the Barn Burner mountain bike race June 20th (100-something miles split between us)
-A week-long hiking trip to southern Colorado to hike some fourteeners at the end of June
-I'm not sure if I'll be doing Mountain Man because it's close to the Steelhead 70.3 that takes place August 1st in Michigan which I MIGHT be participating in.
How far is Payson? Will you camp there or?
I'll mainly be doing the group rides on Saturdays from Pay-n-Take, but I'd probably be down for rides now and then during the weeks starting between 4 and 5pm.

I'll be here this summer! I'll be doing an internship and working at Monsoon so I don't know my schedule yet either. I plan on doing the Mountain Man as well and the pay n'take group rides.
Also my friend Angie Axmann ( a pro here in town) and I are going to put together some weekly open water swims so I will keep yall posted on that.

Looking forward to hearing about the open water swims.
As far as Flag to Payson, it is 93 miles. I thought it was closer. Maybe there is still an option for splitting the trip in two.
Do the saturday rides start from Pay n Take? and what time do you meet?

Yeah they start from Pay n Take. Typically meet at 9am during the warmer months. If you don't feel like going the full 60 miles, you can turn around whenever. I'll probably be going that route very soon while I get into bike-shape haha.

Yup pay n'take rides have already started at 9am leaving from pay n'take. Mike you could totally do that distance. I did a 100 mi ride last year it was a good experience! Long rides in triathlon/cycling lingo = epic rides for your info haha.

I'll be in Prescott for the weekdays from the end of May through mid July, but I have Saturdays open, the week of the 4th of July open, and I'll probably be in Flag a few weeks before school starts. All of those sound like great ideas, for me it mostly depends on timing.

Summer time is here and I have been doing some rides here and there but it would be great to have a group ride. I'm not feeling the "epic" pay n' take rides just yet, but i'll keep it in mind. June is a busy month for me but i'll still be here running and biking. The swimming sounds great, i'd defiantly would like do more swimming. I plan on doing some hikes in S. Colorado and NE AZ late July and I'm open for anything in between. Be safe.

Us tricats will be there this weekend also, Nick Tanner and I are racing the barn burner solo and it looks like there might be a half dozen others joining us to do some cool weather training. http://www.arizonatricats.com/forum/flagstaff-training-camp-weekend-calling-all-tricats-arizona
What do you guys think of a little nau/ua racing, training and partying action?
I'm going to ride 386 miles instead... Who's in?
