After my last post, I started thinking about what I want to do this summer, and then I started to think about how CSU wanted to host a summer training camp and that the dates they were thinking about were around the Mountain Man Triathlon here in Flagstaff, which I obviously don't want to miss, so I decided to check out the website to see when it was. Well, they are doing something really strange. There are two completely different dates for the race. The sprint distance is July 18 and the Olympic and Half are on August 8. Why in the world would they do this? I guess they want to open it up to more competitors. Anyway, I thought it was interesting to note, especially if we want to have a reunion race over the summer.

Yeah, remember last year a bunch of people couldn't get in (including myself) because whoever allows them to have the race decided to put a cap on how many people could attend. So yeah, that's my guess on why they're doing it. It would be cool to do a training camp of our own around mountain man one of these years.

I guess I am just in a thinking mood, but I wanted to bring up next semester races that I plan on doing, mostly because I like to sign up very early for races and get the biggest discount I can on them. Ha ha.
Conference Races:
Elephant Man Triathlon- last week in September in New Mexico
Lindsay Brown Memorial Triathlon- fist weekend in October in Colorado Springs (suicide: back to back weekends, so this may not actually happen, but I like to think it will)
and of course Lake Powell, the last weekend in October.
For non-conference races I will still be doing Kingman (and hopefully lead another group of newbies there) and I really want to do the Tucson Half Marathon again.

I would hold off on registering until we know whether they will definitely be conference races next year!
